Providing person-centred services is my passion, ultimately helping to improve the lives of individuals and thereby positively influencing the lives of local communities. Working in a variety of settings has given me extensive experience within the private, public and voluntary sectors. These experiences have enabled me to gain valuable insights into the workings of various environments, providing opportunities for teamwork and collaboration through positive communication with colleagues and partner agencies.

This programme successfully assisted clients at Falkirk & Clackmannanshire Carers Centre continuously for over 2 years. Through collaboration with Fauldhouse Community Development Trust I have delivered stress management sessions to secondary school pupils suffering from stress and anxiety. Registered on the West Lothian Council PECOS payment system, I have delivered workshops to groups of unemployed in Armadale and Livingston through their Regeneration Team. Workshops have also been delivered to groups of unemployed adults with various disabilities within the Hamilton offices of Remploy.
I am also trained in clinical aromatherapy massage, reflexology and massage for people with cancer and other illness. I have experience delivering therapies at the stroke unit in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, Strathcarron Hospice in Falkirk and through volunteering with Cancer Support Scotland at their outreach programme in Broxburn. Through my non-profit (Stress Free Zone Community Interest Company) I have successfully delivered a free therapy programme to Bield Housing and Crofthead Care Home in Fauldhouse.
With a commitment to educate anyone who has an interest in the diversity of healthcare, I hope to spread knowledge and awareness and help to as many people as possible. I have recently completed my BSc in Integrative Healthcare. Through consultation with industry, and the approval of the NHS, this course promotes research, analysis, critical thinking and problem solving for current issues facing public healthcare today.
I am also a qualified trainer and can provide staff training to workplace mental health ambassadors and employability skills to college and high school students, utilising my unique programme.

Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils to help deal with everyday stresses and emotional well-being. Essential oils, extracted from plants, are thought to possess distinctive properties, which may be used to improve overall emotional and spiritual health imbuing you with a sense of relaxation and calmness.
In all types of massage therapy, the intention is to relax the soft tissues, increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the massaged areas, warm them, and help the body to relax.
Before the therapy begins I will ask questions about your previous medical history, general health, symptoms, wellbeing, lifestyle and the desired results. This helps me to choose and blend the safest and most appropriate essential oils for you.
Aromatherapy massage may be found to be helpful to those who want to reduce everyday stress and so help with the ability to cope, relax and sleep. Massage may bring relief from everyday aches, reduce stress, increase relaxation, address feelings of anxiety and tension, assist the rehabilitation of muscular injuries, and aid general wellness. As well as being used in individual therapy sessions and at home, I am available to provide therapy in a variety of settings, including hospitals and hospices.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the face, ears, feet and hands which are believed to correspond to all organs and parts of the body. Reflexology works on
an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms such as everyday stress and tension.
During the reflexology session I will take a detailed medical history. Sessions are usually performed in a comfortable chair or couch. If it is to be performed on the feet, you will be asked to remove footwear and socks but other forms of reflexology require
no removal of clothing. I will make a visual and tactile examination of the area to be worked before beginning the precise reflexology massage movements. The particular types of movements involved require the application of an appropriate pressure using the thumb and fingers.
Reflexology can be a wonderfully relaxing experience where you can take time out from everyday pressures, helping you relax and thereby improving mood, aids sleep and relieves tension. The result is an overall sense of wellbeing.
